The Kyoto Retreat

A 4-week international residency (November 1-30, 2026) for artists, curators, and writers focused on research, reflection, and cultural immersion in Japan rather than production. Participants are encouraged to explore Kyoto’s cultural landscape and use the time for inspiration and personal development.

Eligibility: Open to visual artists, curators, and writers (all career stages) aged 21+ from anywhere in the world.

Award: Round trip flight to Japan, 4-week stay (private bedroom in shared house) and $800 USD stipend for meals and local transport

Residency

Pine Meadow Ranch Center for Arts & Agriculture Residency Program

The Pine Meadow Ranch Center for Arts & Agriculture (PMRCAA) invites artists, writers, ecological scientists, researchers, and other creative practitioners to undertake two- or four-week residencies in Sisters, Oregon. The program supports work exploring connections between nature, conservation, agriculture, community, and the arts. Residents receive housing, a private studio, and opportunities for community engagement while developing their projects.

  • Stipend of US$200 per week

Westonka Library Public Artwork Commissions

Hennepin County Library, in partnership with Forecast Public Art, is seeking qualifications from mid-career and established artists or artist teams to create three permanent public artworks for the new Westonka Library in Mound, Minnesota. The project aims to enhance the library's role as a community hub through impactful, site-specific public art. Artists working in any medium are encouraged to apply.


Deadline: June 14, 2026.


Location: Westonka Library, Mound, Minnesota, USA.


Award: Two commissions available:

  • Opportunity 1: US$60,000 artist fee

  • Opportunity 2: US$75,000 artist fee

Residency

The Farm Margaret River Funded Residency 2027

A site-responsive residency for visual artists to develop work engaging with land, ecology, and place. Set on a rural property in Western Australia, the program supports research-driven, experimental practice rooted in environmental and cultural context, with an emphasis on community engagement and connection to landscape.~


Deadline: June 1, 2026
Location: Margaret River, Western Australia (Wadandi Country)

Eligibility: 

  • Open to Australian and international visual artists. 

  • 18+ with a strong, sustained professional practice. 

  • Must be able to work independently in a self-directed residency. 

  • Interest in site-specific, land-based work required

  • 8–10 week residency (Feb–Nov 2027)

The Abilities Foundation Mural Open Call

Kingston Creative, in partnership with the Abilities Foundation and Digicel Foundation, is seeking proposals for a new public mural within the Corporate Area of Jamaica. The opportunity is open to Jamaican citizens and residents. Artists must submit a fully rendered colour design, either digital, traditional, or a combination of both. All artistic styles are welcome.


Location: Kingston, Jamaica

Residency

Notations #2: Interdisciplinary Laboratory & Festival

Notations #2 is a two-week interdisciplinary laboratory and festival in Yerevan, Armenia, bringing together artists, researchers, and practitioners working across sound, music, performance, media art, installation, technology, and research. The 2026 edition explores the theme "Rituals", encouraging participants to collaborate across disciplines, develop new works, and present them publicly during the Notations Festival. Accommodation, meals, materials, equipment, mentorship and exhibition opportunities are provided.

Headlands Center for the Arts Artist Residencies

Headlands Center for the Arts offers fully sponsored residencies for local and international artists, supporting creative development through dedicated studio time and community engagement in Sausalito.


Location: Sausalito, California, USA

  • Open to local, national, and international artists

  • Approximately 50 artists selected annually


Award: Fully sponsored residencies lasting four to ten weeks, including studio space, housing, chef-prepared meals, travel, and living expenses.

Haiti Cultural Exchange (HCX) x Alan Lomax Archive Open Call

Haiti Cultural Exchange invites emerging artists of Haitian descent to submit work for a group exhibition highlighting contemporary Haitian experiences through visual art and creative expression. Selected artists will exhibit at the HCX Gallery and connect with artists, curators and the wider Haitian creative community.

Residency

Giancarlo DiTrapano Foundation Fall 2026 Residency

The Giancarlo DiTrapano Foundation for Literature and the Arts invites applications from writers, translators, musicians, visual artists, actors, directors, dancers, and other creative practitioners worldwide. The two-week residency provides uninterrupted time and space to develop new work at the Foundation's 17th-century villa and cultural center in Sezze Romano, Italy. The Fall 2026 cohort will include 4–5 residents.


Deadline: June 7, 2026

Duration: Two-week residency from September 29 – October 13, 2026

Eligibility:  Open internationally to writers, translators, musicians, artists working in all media, actors, directors, dancers and other creative practitioners.

Gasworks Residency Open Call for Caribbean Artists 2027

Gasworks is offering a fully funded 11-week residency in London for Caribbean-based contemporary visual artists. The programme supports artistic research, experimentation, networking and cultural exchange through a self-led residency environment.


Deadline:  June 29, 2026


Location: London, United Kingdom


Eligibility: Open to contemporary visual artists based in the Caribbean. Applicants should have a strong artistic practice, be comfortable communicating in English and be able to engage with London’s contemporary art context.


Award: Fully funded residency including studio space, accommodation, flights, visa support, curatorial guidance, networking opportunities, and a weekly stipend/materials support.

Bundanon Artists in Residence Program 2027

A multidisciplinary residency offering 1–3 week stays for artists and researchers to develop their practice in a remote, natural setting in Australia. The program supports experimentation, research, and creative risk-taking, with no requirement for a final outcome. Residents are provided time, space, and purpose-built studios to focus on their work alongside a diverse cohort.

Eligibility:

  • Open to artists, curators and researchers across all disciplines and career stages

  • International applicants eligible

  • Individuals, groups, and organisations can apply

Residency

BEERS London 40-Day Residency

A 40-day residency in London supporting artists with dedicated time for creative development. Selected artists receive studio space, an honorarium for living and materials, professional guidance from the BEERS team, and flexibility to shape their own schedule. Applications remain active for 12 months, and there is a £20 application fee.

Exhibition, Grant

PhotoVogue Open Call

Global open call for photographers, video artists, and visual storytellers exploring creativity as rebellion. PhotoVogue seeks bold, experimental work that challenges dominant narratives and responds to today’s social, cultural, environmental, and political realities. Selected artists may be featured in exhibitions, publications, and global PhotoVogue programming.


Deadline: September 11, 2026. 


Eligibility: Open worldwide; submissions are accepted digitally.
